Unstable Diffusion is a name people still search for a lot, and the generator behind it lives at unstability.ai. The pitch is refreshingly short: one plan, $30 a month, more than 120 image models and, in its own words, “the least restrictions”. For hentai fans the interesting bit is that the anime-friendly Pony and Illustrious families sit in the catalog right next to lab models like Seedream, Flux and GPT-Image.
This first look is based on what Unstable Diffusion publishes as of October 2026: the homepage, the Plans & Usage page, the Guidelines, the refund policy, the Terms and the privacy policy. No guessing where the pages go quiet, either. I’ll tell you when they do.
What Unstable Diffusion is
A web-based AI image generator. You write a prompt, choose a model and, if you like, add “influences”, which is Unstable Diffusion’s word for LoRAs. There are more than 40,000 of them, there to expand and steer what a model can do. The homepage also claims 3M+ creators and 500M+ images made. I can’t check those numbers, but they give you a sense of scale.
One detail I like: each model has its own safety policy, and the homepage tells you to swap to whichever model’s policy suits your project. In other words, the model you pick shapes how strict things get.
Unstable Diffusion NSFW: what’s allowed
The Guidelines and Usage Policy (updated June 11, 2026) is short, which I appreciate. You have to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that’s higher, to switch off any safety filter or to make, request or view sexually explicit content. After that there are three hard rules:
- nothing sexual involving a real, identifiable person;
- every character in explicit work has to be an adult and look like one, fictional or not;
- no bestiality, in any style.
Everything else adult is allowed, “including material that depicts fictional characters,” in the policy’s own words. That’s about as plain as these rules get, and it’s why Unstable Diffusion has a place in our AI hentai generator ranking.
Features that matter
Lab and open-source models side by side
The catalog mixes lab models (Seedream, Flux, GPT-Image) with open-source families (SDXL, Pony, Illustrious), and new ones are added as they ship. “Cheap fast ones for ideation, expensive slow ones for production,” as the homepage puts it.
Unlimited, with an asterisk
Everyday models draw from what Unstable Diffusion calls the Unlimited pool. There’s no cap and generation is never blocked. Lean on it very hard, though, and your priority can slip from High to Standard or Low, which only slows the queue and resets each cycle.
Premium models (Seedream, GPT-Image and Recraft, plus high-fidelity edits) use a separate Heavy pool with a weekly limit and a monthly cap. Hit it and premium generations pause until the refill, while the everyday models keep going.
Images only
No video, no GIFs. If you want your hentai to move, skip ahead to the alternatives.
Unstable Diffusion pricing in 2026
Checked on unstability.ai on October 3, 2026. Prices change, so look at the checkout before you pay.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free trial | $0 | Allowance not published; shown at signup |
| Pro | $30 a month | Every model and influence, unlimited everyday generation, a weekly Heavy pool |
| Max | Not listed on the homepage | Up to 5 to 10 times the Heavy pool |
“One plan, no upsells,” says the homepage, and then it mentions Max plans a couple of lines later. Fair enough. Pro is the plan for most people, and Max only matters if you live on the premium models. Pro also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, something I wish more adult AI sites offered.
Is Unstable Diffusion free?
Sort of. The homepage has an “Explore free” button and the Terms mention a free trial, but the free allowance isn’t published anywhere I could find. The Plans & Usage page says new users “may” get a time-limited trial or a discounted first period, with the details shown at signup. So I won’t guess at a number.
Refunds, billing and privacy
The refund policy (updated August 1, 2026) is the friendliest page on the site. Ask within 30 days of your first payment on a new subscription and you get that payment back, no reason needed. It works once per customer, and the subscription ends when the refund goes through. After those 30 days, charges are final. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the paid period runs out.
Charged by mistake? Report it within 30 days. And talk to support before you dispute a charge with your bank, because a chargeback first can get your account suspended.
The site is owned and operated by Equilibrium Point Inc., and the Terms run under Delaware law. The privacy policy describes signing in with Google, says personal data isn’t sold, and keeps it until you ask for it to be deleted. The Terms also mention device fingerprinting against fraud, public galleries of user images, and a broad license to whatever you submit, prompts included.
What to watch out for
- The free allowance isn’t published.
- “Unlimited” covers the everyday models. Premium ones run on a weekly pool with a monthly cap.
- Very heavy use can push your queue priority down.
- No video and no GIFs.
- The money-back guarantee covers your first payment only, once.
- Max pricing isn’t on the homepage.
Who it’s for, and who should skip it
It’s for people who want lots of models at one flat price and are tired of arguing with filters. If you already know your way around Pony or Illustrious, you’ll feel at home, and the 30-day guarantee takes most of the risk out of trying Pro.
Skip it if you want video, if you’d like a free plan with a published allowance first, or if you mainly want the premium lab models, since those are the ones with limits.
Unstable Diffusion alternatives
Seduced AI costs the same $30 a month for Pro and adds what Unstable Diffusion lacks: video, up to 10 seconds per generation with Extend, plus more than 200 extensions for specific bodies and acts. There’s no free plan, only a $10 two-day trial that renews into Pro.
Promptchan is the cheaper way in, with realistic and anime styles and daily free gems. Plus is $14.99 a month, Premium $23.99 and Pro $33.99, monthly billing only, and video comes with Pro.
Verdict
Unstable Diffusion is the no-nonsense option: one price, a huge catalog with anime families included, short rules, and a refund window that actually means something. The missing video and the unpublished free allowance hold it back. If stills and freedom are what you’re after, Pro is an easy plan to try, because for the first 30 days you can still change your mind.
