Erota AI Review
You’re in for a treat today: fully customized AI erotic stories, as NSFW as you want them to be. So many AI tools are just chatbots, or they hand you a short sample of text and call it a story. Erota gives you pages of filthy prose to fire up your imagination and get you off, and then it’ll read them to you. Time to see just how dirty this site can be.
Almost everything is a dropdown: sex acts, themes, ethnicity, the perspective, who’s having sex, the style it’s written in, length, language, voice and sound quality. You can add sex sounds or just listen to the finished story. Under the hood there are three model families, Apprentice, Artisan and Master, and Erota’s FAQ charges 1, 2 and 4 credits a story for them. But you don’t care about credits yet, do you? You heard me say sex sounds and you want to know more.
One thing first. I went back over this review in October 2026 against Erota’s own pages. The prices and credit costs are fixed, a few things I couldn’t stand behind are gone, and the features Erota has added since the first version are in.
NSFW Erotic AI Generated Stories
The example story on the homepage is set on a space station, and it isn’t a teaser. Close Encounters in High Earth Orbit runs seven chapters and close to 5,000 words, written in Erota’s Novel Studio. There’s a player above the text, and this is the bit that makes Erota different: tick Add Sex Sounds and the narration gets moans, wet noises and orgasms dropped in where the action happens. Reading about two women grinding on each other while you hear it is a lot more multi-sensory than reading alone. And a lot hotter.
When you’re ready to write your own, you either pick tags or describe the story in a prompt. Perspective goes from he, she or they to I or you, as a man or a woman. Partners run from one woman or one man to a group of couples, with trans women, husband and wife, solo play, an AI and even a sex machine on the list. For tone there’s Casual, Vulgar, Bible, Classic, Gothic, Medieval, Poetic or Focus on Dialog. Erota writes in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, and Continue Story picks things up where a chapter stops.
How explicit does it get? Properly. The space station sample doesn’t fade to black, and Vulgar is there if you want the prose dirtier still. Besides the usual legal limits, the terms ban animals, rape or any kind of violence, scat and vore. Break a rule and, according to the FAQ, it costs you 1 to 5 credits per violation, which is a new one on me.
Novel Studio, roleplay and live voice chat
The old version of this review missed all of this. Novel Studio is Erota’s long-form mode. You write a description, add saved characters, pick a model, a creativity level and anything from 1 to 20 chapters, and it can draft an outline before it writes. Each chapter is built from the main plot, the characters, your instructions for that chapter and the last three paragraphs of the one before, and you can edit any of those, or the text itself, at any point. There’s a Safe for Work switch too, and projects can be saved, downloaded and loaded again later.
Then there’s Roleplay Chat, with Adventure, Roleplay, Crafted and Custom modes plus a Real-Sex Assistant for real-life erotic goals. Some crafted scenarios come with explicit pictures or video clips attached. Choose Own Adventure turns a story into choices you make as you go. And the newest addition is live two-way voice chat: set up a character in the roleplay chat, then start a call and talk to them out loud, in real time.

Here’s what a credit buys, going by the FAQ. A story costs 1 credit on an Apprentice model, 2 on Artisan and 4 on Master. A novel costs the model’s rate once for the outline and again for every chapter. Listening is the expensive part: 8 credits a story in standard audio, 16 in HD, and a novel pays that per chapter. So Premium’s 200 credits cover 50 Master stories, or 25 standard listens. Hearing a seven-chapter novel like the space station sample would eat 56.
Paying members also get 15 free credits a day, but they only kick in once the plan credits are gone, and they don’t roll over. And if you’d rather not subscribe at all, there’s a one-off pack of 500 forever credits for $29.90, paid in crypto.
What to watch out for
- The FAQ and the model menu disagree about Artisan. The FAQ says 2 credits a story, but the menu on the story page labels Artisan 3x. Check the menu before you write.
- The FAQ still says memberships run through Patreon, and that only you can cancel them there, while the buttons on the pricing page open a Chargebee checkout. Remember which one you paid through, because that’s where you’ll cancel.
- No company is named anywhere on the site. Support is an email address and a US phone number the FAQ asks you to call only if it’s urgent, and the terms fall under California law.
- Refunds are prorated. The FAQ’s own example: cancel 20 days into a 30-day membership and you get a third back.
- The prose leans on stock phrases. In the homepage sample, “a dance as old as time” shows up three times.
Who Erota is for
It’s for people who want their smut made to measure and then read aloud. If you know exactly the pairing, the point of view and the filth level you’re after, the menus get you there fast, and the narration with sex sounds is still the thing I’d point a friend to first. Writers looking for a starting point get commercial rights to the text and audio on Pro and Ultimate.
Skip it if you want a long back-and-forth with one companion who remembers you. The roleplay side is there, but Erota is a story machine first, and a chat app will suit you better.
Erota alternatives
RedQuill is the closest match. Describe a fantasy and it writes a private story in chapters that you can continue, remix or turn into a roleplay, with narration on the paid plans. There’s a free tier with a limited number of stories a day (RedQuill doesn’t say how many), and yearly plans start at $8.50 a month.

Verdict
Erota is still one of the best places to get smut written to order, and it’s grown up a lot. The menus make it easy to land on exactly the pairing, perspective and tone you want, the sex sounds turn a story into something closer to audio porn, and Novel Studio gives a slow burn room to breathe. I’d like the FAQ to catch up with the pricing page, and a company name on the site wouldn’t hurt. But with a week’s free trial and a yearly price of $7.90 a month, it’s an easy one to try.
