A temp, a boss, and the PA who wants it over
Under the Boss is an office triangle with a saboteur built in. A shy, curvy new temp starts at a London office, and the boss is obsessed with her almost at once. On its own, that’s a premise Candy Shorts has run before. What this one adds is his PA: blonde, jealous and, per Candy’s own synopsis, willing to do anything to destroy the fling.
That PA is the reason I’d pick this one. Most workplace setups run on a single question, will they or won’t they, and this one puts someone on the payroll whose whole job, emotionally speaking, is making sure they don’t. The synopsis calls it a forbidden fling, so there’s something to hide, and the person most motivated to expose it already works for him. London is a nice change of scenery, too.
Is Under the Boss free?
Episode 1 plays straight from Candy’s page, and episode 2 is free too once you’ve made a free account. Under the Boss goes NSFW at episode 3, the first paid episode, which is where Candy Shorts draws the line on every series: suggestive while it’s free, explicit once tokens are involved.
What it costs to finish Under the Boss
The pricing on Under the Boss is the usual for a five-parter with no licensed performer: 12 tokens for each of episodes 3, 4 and 5, so 36 tokens covers the lot. That matches the other office series I’d compare it with, so the decision comes down to which power game you prefer. For the cost of Candy AI itself, our Candy AI review lays out the plans.
Under the Boss alternatives at the office
The closest alternative to Under the Boss is My Billionaire Boss: a boss keeps his new intern late, bins her presentation and asks her one question, and by the time his partner sees the video, she knows exactly what she’s worth. There the danger is a video. Here it’s a jealous colleague, which feels more personal. If you’d rather the woman held the power, YES, DIRECTOR has a junior employee publicly disciplined and privately chosen by the married woman who runs his career. Both cost 36 tokens.
Who should clock in
I’d start here if you like office power games with a villain in the room, and if a jealous third party adds to the fun for you instead of stressing you out. Skip it if you want the woman in charge (that’s YES, DIRECTOR) or a slow romance; with a boss, a temp and a PA plotting against them, five episodes won’t leave much downtime. The free episodes cost nothing, so they’re an easy way to find out whether the setup works for you. More picks, office and otherwise, are on our Candy Shorts hub.
