The free episodes stay suggestive. Explicit scenes start with episode 3, and finishing the series costs 156 tokens (13% of it is free).

15 episodes, 13 of them paid

Mona’s Worst Enemy runs 15 episodes, which puts it in rare company on Candy Shorts. Only three series in the whole catalogue stop at 15. One goes to 20. And 113 stop at five. So your first decision here isn’t really about the premise at all. Of those 15, 13 carry a 12-token charge, so Mona’s Worst Enemy costs 156 tokens to finish, more than four times the usual transaction on this shelf. Before asking whether you want this story, ask whether you want a serial at all.

Mona, David, and a house neither of them chose

Mona has a system. She’s got firm views on how a household should run, how people ought to behave inside it, and which kind of man deserves to be taken seriously. Then she’s made to share a roof with David, her step brother, who fails every one of those standards without seeming to notice standards exist. The platform’s own blurb calls him a giga chad. It’s the only description in this section written in internet dialect rather than paperback English, and that tells you its exact temperature. He isn’t a seducer. He’s a walking rebuttal to her worldview who leaves his stuff everywhere. What follows is stubbornness, point-scoring and a long run of choices neither of them should be making, while her neatly filed opinions come loose one at a time. The opening episodes set up the living arrangement and the first rounds of the fight.

Where the explicit material starts in Mona’s Worst Enemy

At episode 3, exactly where the rest of the shelf puts it. What’s different is the proportion. On a five-part story the free opening is 40 percent of the whole. Here it’s 13 percent. You’re being asked to commit 156 tokens on a sample that covers an eighth of the run and has no adult content in it, and apart from the 34-episode outlier, that’s the thinnest evidence anybody here buys on. Treat the two free episodes of Mona’s Worst Enemy as an audition for the writing, not a preview of the purchase.

Mona’s Worst Enemy or Mona’s Obsession: check which one you opened

There’s a second Mona on this shelf, and the two are easy to mix up. Mona’s Obsession stops at five episodes and finishes at 36 tokens, built on the same stepbrother, the same mess and teasing, the same unresolved tension. Same name, same house, same argument. Different scale, and 120 tokens apart! If the bickering is the part you’re here for, the short one gives you that for under a quarter of the money, and I’d honestly start there instead of Mona’s Worst Enemy.

Against the other 15-part series

Caught Between Sisters matches it exactly at 15 episodes and 156 tokens, so it’s purely a question of which premise you can live with that long. Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right is the odd one out. Same length, but it gives away three episodes instead of two, which drops its total to 144 and pushes its adult content back a step. Twelve tokens is nothing. A third free episode before you decide, though? Worth more than it sounds.

Is 156 tokens worth it, and what remains at the end

Enemies to lovers is one of the few shapes that actually gets better with a long runtime. The fun is in watching somebody abandon a position slowly, and five episodes just can’t do slowly. Then again, 13 paid installments of domestic friction is a lot of friction, and the premise has to keep finding new rooms for the same fight. My verdict on Mona’s Worst Enemy: worth it if you want the slow version and you’re sure about the length. And Mona doesn’t get retired when the serial closes. She stays on the platform as a character you can talk to, all 15 episodes of history included, which is a richer handover than any short series on Candy Shorts manages.
