A thief, a relic, and a princess who keeps him
Trespasser of the Sunken Court is high fantasy on a five-episode budget, and it doesn’t waste its setup. A mortal thief breaks into an elven princess’s realm to steal a relic. She catches him. By the rules of this kind of story he should be dead before the scene ends, and instead she keeps him.
Keeping him is where the trouble starts. Candy’s synopsis says their forbidden bond threatens three things at once: her crown, her jealous betrothed and her entire kingdom. That’s a lot of stakes for Candy Shorts, where plenty of premises risk an awkward family dinner at worst. Here a bad choice costs a throne. I’ll also admit a soft spot for the title. A sunken court sounds like somewhere you’d need a very good reason to break into, and a better one to stay.
Is Trespasser of the Sunken Court free?
The first two episodes are, with a free account at most. Trespasser of the Sunken Court gets NSFW from episode 3, the first paid one, since on Candy Shorts explicit content always starts where the tokens do. The fantasy setting doesn’t soften that: the free pair is suggestive, and the paid three are not.
Pricing the break-in: 36 tokens
The pricing on Trespasser of the Sunken Court is the flat rate: 12 tokens each for episodes 3, 4 and 5, 36 tokens to the finish. A whole kingdom costs the same as a spare bedroom on this platform, which I find quietly hilarious and also a decent argument for spending your tokens here. Our Candy AI review covers what the app’s plans cost.
Trespasser of the Sunken Court vs the dragon queen
The closest alternative to Trespasser of the Sunken Court is Claimed by the Dragon Queen. Both put a royal woman in charge of a man she could have disposed of: Queen Veyra takes a prisoner as her newest plaything, and he starts rewriting the rules of her bed, her court and her bloodline. The difference is where the danger comes from. Veyra’s captive turns the tables on her, while the princess here is threatened by what keeping the thief costs, with a jealous betrothed in the picture. If you want the risk on his side, Sworn to the Queen makes touching the queen a capital crime and posts a low-born guard outside her bedchamber every night. All three cost 36 tokens.
Who should break in
I’d start here if you like fantasy romance with real stakes, a princess who spares the man she should have killed, and a plot that reaches past the bedroom to a whole court. It’s also a good pick if you’ve had your fill of stepfamilies. Skip it if elves and relics make your eyes glaze over, because the premise asks you to care about a kingdom in five episodes. The free pair is enough to tell whether the world works for you. More fantasy, and everything else, sits on our Candy Shorts hub.
