Sofia, a broken computer, and a boyfriend who invited the problem in
Begin with the errand, because everything grows out of an errand. Sofia has a boyfriend. The boyfriend knows somebody good with machines, and that somebody gets asked round to look at one. Nobody involved is plotting anything. What the setup then does is unusual for this shelf: it gives you the motive before it gives you a single event. Sofia is not drifting. She holds a grievance against the man she is with, getting even turns out to be an appetite she had underestimated, and the person who arrived holding a screwdriver becomes the means before he becomes anything more. Notice too that she is the only member of the trio with a name. The boyfriend is a position, the friend is a position, and what you are really buying is one woman’s decision, framed by two men defined entirely by where they stand in relation to her. The unpaid episodes put all three in the same flat and let a favour run well past its natural length.
Where the free run stops and the adult material begins
The third episode is the first that takes tokens and the first that is explicit, in that order and at the same moment. The two ahead of it come with an account and keep everything implied. On a revenge premise, that unpaid stretch is largely resentment: a room with the wrong atmosphere in it and three people being careful. Good for judging the writing, worthless for judging the NSFW content, which has not started yet.
Three paid episodes, 36 tokens, no way around the figure
Twelve tokens an installment, three installments on the meter, 36 altogether. No membership tier reaches into this section, and nothing gets cheaper for being bought together. The figure is identical across every unlicensed five-part series here, which bears repeating: you are never choosing the cheaper story, only the better one.
The most domestic setup on the shelf
Consider what actually starts this. Not a dare, not a contract, not a weekend at the family house, but a chore. Somebody’s machine is playing up. Among five-part stories at this price it is the most ordinary trigger I have come across, and the ordinariness is the point: nothing was arranged and nobody was hunting. The wrongness walks in through the front door carrying a toolkit, invited by the man it will cost the most.
Against the other five-part stories at this price
Lusting for daddy’s watchdog builds its barrier out of a job description. My Stepdaughter’s Boyfriend builds one out of relatives sitting in the next room. Trapped Desires: Island Swap builds one out of a marriage on its last holiday. All three obstruct from outside the characters. Here the only thing in the way is a friendship, and Sofia has privately decided the friendship belongs to somebody else and is not hers to look after. That makes it a colder story than its neighbours and a more recognisably modern one: nobody is caught, somebody is chosen.
Who should spend, and what is left when it ends
Buy it if you prefer a character with a reason to a character with an opportunity. Leave it if you want the transgression to feel dangerous, because nothing in this flat threatens anyone with discovery. Sofia outlives her own plot: the fifth episode closes the arc and leaves her standing, reachable for conversation with everything she did still attached to her, which is the portion of the 36 tokens that keeps returning value long after the story has run out.
