Caught Between Sisters costs 156 tokens to finish, which is a little more than you’d pay for one of its neighbours. Only three Candy Shorts titles stop at 15 episodes, and two of them land on 156. This is one of the two. The maths is dull, honestly: 13 paid episodes at 12 tokens a pop, the flat catalogue rate, just applied a lot of times. So this one manages to be the pricier long story and the stingier one at the same time. The gap is small, I’m not going to call it a scandal, but you should clock it before you commit. And no, no Candy AI plan covers any part of the bill.
Emilia, the step-cousin, and a sister who takes notes
Emilia has the life people envy, and the series makes sure you see that before it starts taking it apart. A partner, a position, a family that looks great in photos. The sort of life that only gets fragile once somebody else can describe it out loud. Then comes one night with her step-cousin, a relation close enough to be a scandal and distant enough to be believable, which is exactly the dial this genre likes. I don’t think guilt is the engine, though. The engine is that her sister finds out, and her sister doesn’t do forgiveness. From there you’ve got two threads pulling at once: the man Emilia wants and won’t admit to wanting, and a sibling who suddenly owns something she can use. The free opening sets up the household, the rivalry between the two women and the fact that a secret now exists. Nothing graphic happens in it. Groundwork and glances, mostly.
The instalment where the register changes
Number three. That’s where the adult material in Caught Between Sisters kicks in, and the line doesn’t move for anybody. The two you can open without paying stay suggestive and tense, everyone fully dressed, while the thirteen behind them are explicit. On a run this long the switch comes very early in the arc, so the free sample tells you about the artwork and the voice and next to nothing about how the series handles its own escalation.

All four run long and all four turn on rivalry inside a family or a pecking order. What actually splits them is who holds the power. Mona’s Worst Enemy turns up the heat on a mutual loathing. YES MA’AM works through rank and orders. Simona Rossi throws in an extra free instalment and asks for less overall. What this one has that the others don’t is a third person with leverage: the sister isn’t competing for the man at all, she’s watching, and she’s armed. That keeps the pressure social rather than romantic for a lot longer than you’d guess.
My verdict on Caught Between Sisters, and what survives the finale
Worth it if slow scheming does more for you than quick escalation. Skippable if 13 paid instalments sounds like homework, and fair enough, it kind of is. One point in its favour: Emilia isn’t pulled when the last episode finishes. She stays on Candy AI for ordinary chat, so the 156 tokens go toward something that lasts longer than a story you watch once.
